Job Description Senior Developer 4100 Beechwood Dr, Greensboro, NC 27410 GROFF Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Senior Developer, you will be part of an development team that designs and develops latest generation enterprise applications to help the business become more efficient. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Analyzing functional specifications and providing technical requirements o Designing , developing , and testing new applications, features and enhancements o Debugging the software and implementing bug fixes o Participating in code review processes and mentoring entry-level developers in software design best practices o Suggesting changes to the team process to bring about improvements in the teams ability to deliver o Defining and supporting the direction and production of chosen technologies o Applying best-practice security principles to enterprise software applications o Acting as a liaison with Business Analysts to ensure capabilities are aligned with business requirements o Acting as a liaison with the Quality Assurance team to develop testing approaches REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Math, Data Science, Actuarial Science OR a related degree o Possess 2 years of software development experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Demonstrate strong attention to detail o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Knowledge of one of the following languages/Toolsets : C# , Java, JavaScript, SQL, Automation, ERP, Python, Xcode, swift, Kotlin, PeopleTools o Knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Test Driven Development o Knowledge of version control systems o Working knowledge or experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices o Working knowledge or experience with RESTful JSON web services o Working knowledge or experience with Oracle Databases and Microsoft Azure ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
