We are looking for an experienced Life Enrichment Director to bring their passion of working with seniors to our newest Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community. Saint Therese of Corcoran campus is full of social vibrancy in an urban setting, with distinctive living spaces and a variety of amenities to create an experience the resident is looking for to create their future home. The campus will offer 153 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments. Amenities of the site include dining options, wellness center with pool, library, lounge area, golf simulator, salon, and wood shop area.

This full-time position will work 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

The Life Enrichment Director coordinates, develops and implements comprehensive therapeutic recreation programs and services utilizing staff expertise, family, and community resources to meet the psychosocial, physical, cognitive, and spiritual needs of the residents.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, or related health care field; current or eligible for certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or registered as an Occupational Therapist preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years managerial experience required; experience in developing and implementing social or recreation programs within the senior care field preferred.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation department functions and related Federal and State regulations.
  • Effective time management/prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to positively manage and communicate change, and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software
  • Ability to supervise and provide work direction to staff.
  • Class B Driver's License required.

Salary Range: $57,512 - $78,000 annually depending on experience
