DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role as a Psychological Services Specialist requires a unique set of skills, including the ability to provide psychological and counseling services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and dually diagnosed, co-occurring mental health conditions. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will also be responsible for conducting functional behavioral assessments, analyzing psychological and behavioral issues, and making recommendations for psychological care. In addition, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the strategies outlined in the mental health support actions are properly implemented by directly interacting with the individuals and monitoring the direct care staff. You will be involved in demonstrating and transferring these strategies to the staff and observing their use to ensure they are being utilized appropriately. Overall, this role requires a combination of clinical expertise, teamwork, and leadership to provide the best possible care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (1st shift), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Alternate work scheduled as needed, some 2nd and 3rd shift work required
- Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
- FREE parking!
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
