About the Role:

The Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Professional Services Engineer focuses on delivering expert planning, installation, and configuration services for HPE's cutting-edge infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will work with a variety of HPE product lines, including but not limited to Synergy, SimpliVity, Nimble dHCI, Apollo, StoreFabric, and Alletra/Primera platforms, leveraging advanced tools such as HPE OneView, InfoSight, iLO, Deployment Manager, and OmniStack. This position offers the opportunity to drive enterprise-grade deployments, optimize data center performance, and provide exceptional client support.

What You'll Do:
  • Planning and Design: Collaborate with clients to assess infrastructure needs, develop deployment plans, and create configurations for HPE Synergy frames, SimpliVity clusters, Nimble dHCI systems, Apollo servers, StoreFabric SANs, and Alletra/Primera storage arrays.
  • Installation: Execute onsite and remote installations of HPE infrastructure solutions, including racking, cabling, and powering up hardware components, ensuring compliance with HPE best practices and safety standards.
  • Configuration: Configure compute modules, interconnects, and storage using HPE OneView and Image Streamer for Synergy; deploy OmniStack Virtual Controllers and manage federations with Deployment Manager for SimpliVity; optimize Nimble dHCI and Alletra/Primera with InfoSight analytics; and set up StoreFabric and Apollo for high-performance workloads using iLO.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and software issues, including power outages, boot failures, and connectivity problems, utilizing logs and diagnostic tools.
  • Client Support: Provide onsite and remote technical assistance, train client IT teams, and ensure successful handoff of configured systems, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of deployment plans, configurations, and troubleshooting steps in HPE systems and client portals.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, and network engineers, to deliver integrated solutions and meet project deadlines.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure deployment, with at least 3 years focused on HPE or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in planning, installing, and configuring HPE Synergy, SimpliVity, Nimble dHCI, Apollo, StoreFabric, and Alletra/Primera platforms.
    • Expert use of HPE OneView for centralized management, InfoSight for predictive analytics, iLO for remote administration, Deployment Manager for SimpliVity setup, and OmniStack for data services.
    • Strong networking knowledge (VLANs, QoS, Fibre Channel, 10/25/100GbE) and hardware troubleshooting skills.
    • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or other hypervisors.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • HPE ATP - Synergy Solutions V2
    • HPE ASE - Server Solutions
    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
    • HPE Nimble Storage Professional
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities, with a customer-focused mindset.
