JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Part Time Research Assistant. This position will be focused on projects related to adult and pediatric populations including but not limited to asthma and neuromuscular diseases. This position will facilitate data collection from caregivers and people with respiratory diseases. It will also develop asthma assessment metrics for school-based asthma programs. This position will assure the collection of subject data based on protocol, serve as liaison with Principal Investigator and other team members, and enter data in support of scientific papers; develop and organize research materials such as visit forms, spreadsheets, and other documents. May attend patient visits, support groups and patient research advisory groups. The successful candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills. Also desirable would be a background in science, community engagement, and working with school-based health programs.
