Key Accountabilities / Essential Functions of the Role - Vice President Level

Define and lead enterprise-level business development strategies, translating long-term growth objectives into actionable annual plans aligned with corporate goals and revenue targets.

Partner with regional and global leaders, including account management and commercial teams, to deeply understand evolving market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.

Identify and validate new market segments and strategic growth opportunities for North America, building business cases to investment and cross-functional commitment.

Establish strategic priorities for market development initiatives and set ambitious, measurable revenue, margin targets.

Provide executive-level guidance and mentorship to commercial and technical teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with the organization's value proposition and innovation pipeline.

Qualifications

Education

  • Requires a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development, along with B2B sales experience. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, along with an MBA, is required.
  • Experience
  • Experience with B22 sales
  • Experience with specialty chemical and distribution.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales revenue year over year to Institutional customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor sales professional and successfully team sell.
  • Make decisions, balancing customer's needs and company objectives.
  • Ability to build customer relationships quickly; versatile across different styles.
  • Ability to influence others through direct and indirect methods.
  • Knowledge

  • Sensitive to new business opportunities and creative approaches to gain
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of people in the organization
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience coaching and mentorship of sales professionals.
  • Travel Requirement (percent of time spent traveling for work)

    Expected travel to be 30% and will depend on the size of the assigned territory/customer base.
