Department of Ophthalmology

Job Description

The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an Office Support Assistant III to support 8-10 clinical faculty: coordinate correspondence and physician schedule, assist with lecture preparation, make travel arrangements, schedule patient appointments in IDX, access patient information in electronic medical records, compile and organize Quality Assurance documentation, and obtain prior authorization for services or medical tests. Prepare and coordinate patient letters, maintain CME credits and CAQH for assigned physicians.

Administrative Support: includes but not limited to filing, scanning, copying, making reservations and performing miscellaneous errands. Assist with annual residents and alumni weekend, resident interview days and special events.

General Duties: Includes answering phones, sorting mail, maintaining and ordering department supplies, and other general office responsibilities.

Shift

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $15 - $20 hourly
Grade: GGS - 005
