Lab Assistant Ophthalmology Part Time 85327BR Job Summary Laboratory Assistant at UCSF laboratory in the Department of Ophthalmology. The focus of our research is to understand how mutations in genes encoding type IV collagens cause a multi-system disorder in humans. The Lab Assistant 1 will work closely with all laboratory members in various aspects of research, including assistance with ordering of supplies and maintaining laboratory inventory, and general oversight to ensure the smooth running of laboratory operations and organization. This individual maintains records and files pertaining to equipment, supplies, and lab compliance with regulatory agencies. This individual under supervision will assist with the preparation of data collection and assist with research as directed by Specialist and postdoctoral fellows. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $19.43 - $22.49 (Hourly Rate).
