Assistant/Associate Professor - Marketing and Supply Chain Management 41466BR Area of Marketing and SCM Position Description The Area of Marketing & Supply Chain Management in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to begin in fall 2026. Applicants should have expertise in personal selling, sales management, and sales analytics. About the University Established in 1923, Texas Tech University is a Carnegie R1 (very high research activity) Doctoral/Research-Extensive, Hispanic Serving, and state-assisted institution. Located on a beautiful 1,850-acre campus in Lubbock, a city in West Texas with a growing metropolitan-area population of over 300,000, the university enrolls over 40,000 students with 33,000 undergraduate and 7,000 graduate students. As the primary research institution in the western two-thirds of the state, Texas Tech University is home to 10 colleges, the Schools of Law and Veterinary Medicine, and the Graduate School. It is committed to enhancing the cultural and economic development of the state, nation, and world. About the College The Rawls College of Business is AACSB accredited. It offers a BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information systems, marketing, management, and supply chain management. It has three MBA programs: Professional MBA, Online MBA, and the STEM MBA. It also offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research & analytics. In addition, it offers a Ph.D. with concentrations in accounting, finance, information systems & quantitative science, management, and marketing. We have approximately 70 tenure track faculty and 60 non-tenure-track faculty. The college has approximately 5,500 undergraduate, 900 master's, and 60 doctoral students. About the Department/School/Area The Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management offers a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Marketing and Supply Chain Management. In addition, students can enhance their abilities by completing a concentration in sales or supply chain management. The area also offers an online MS in Marketing Research & Analytics degree. The area currently has 26 faculty members and 6 doctoral students. Our award-winning faculty members publish research in top journals in the field and are subject-matter experts in consumer behavior, marketing theory, marketing strategy, sales management, and supply chain management. The area takes pride in excellence in teaching and has been awarded the Texas Tech University Departmental Excellence in Teaching Award. In the fall of 2018, the area launched its Sales & CRM Excellence Center. Major/Essential Functions In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.
