GENERAL FUNCTION
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of EssilorLuxottica leases across North America in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and Company policies. The lease portfolio includes real estate, equipment and vehicle leases. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with various partners and groups across the organization both within and outside of the Accounting organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads and trains the team in meeting individual, department and company-wide objectives.
- Manages the team's month-end accounting activities for various lease functions.
- Prepares quarterly reports and supplemental financial schedules.
- Execute and review internal control checks.
- Prepares monthly variance analysis.
- Prepares/reviews monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Works directly with internal and external auditors to ensure the successful and timely completion of financial audits
- Reviews and standardizes processes, improving efficiencies while maintaining an acceptable level of internal control.
- Communicates directly with Corporate regarding supplement schedules and control testing.
- Works directly with the Lease Processing team and Payables coordinating payment generation and reconciliation.
- Partners with IT in testing and implementation of new systematic functions.
- Special project work as assigned by management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of comparable experience
- Solid understanding and experience with IFRS16 and ASC842
- Supervisory experience
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Large ERP experience
- Ability to manage concurrent responsibilities
- Ability to work independently on complex projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrates willingness and ability to be a self-starter, takes the initiative to solve problems/pursue business opportunities
- Demonstrates the ability and desire to initiate and successfully accomplish goals
- Makes sound business decisions
- Constructively challenges the process and takes the initiative to search for opportunities to grow, improve and innovate
- Effectively manages time and effort to achieve necessary tasks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA or MBA
- Knowledge of SAP
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
