Job Description
Ultra I&C is seeking a confident and detail-oriented Alternate FSO (AFSO) to support our Industrial Security and Insider Threat programs. This role is key to ensuring compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community security standards while enabling sensitive operations across the business. You'll partner closely with the Facility Security Officer (FSO), other security personnel, and internal stakeholders to manage personnel clearances, safeguard classified information, and ensure readiness for audits and assessments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day security operations in alignment with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), SEAD 3, and DD254 requirements.
  • Administer personnel security clearance actions, including initiation, tracking, and processing via DISS, NBIS, and SWFT.
  • Conduct onboarding, initial briefings, annual refreshers, and debriefings for cleared and uncleared personnel.
  • Maintain FCL status in NISS and support with KMP updates, self-inspections, and reporting.
  • Coordinate Insider Threat Program activities, education, and reporting.
  • Review and process subcontractor DD254s.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to candidate onboarding and clearance delays.
  • Provide guidance to employees on completing security documentation accurately.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and respond to all personnel security inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Track and report metrics on clearance processing status and delays.
  • Others duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • This position requires US citizenship to maintain necessary clearances.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting DoD or IC industrial security programs.
  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), SEADs, and Executive Orders.
  • Proficient with DISS & SWFT; experience with NBIS, NISS, and eAPP preferred.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI Clearance is preferred
  • Completion of FSO certification for possessing or non-possessing facilities.
  • COMSEC Custodian Certification
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.Familiarity with DCSA policies, continuous evaluation processes, and personnel vetting standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with candidates, employees, and government counterparts.
  • Proficient with MS Office and standard business systems.
