General / Facilities Maintenance

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Assists or works independently on various maintenance projects in the facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

* Helps mechanics or electricians with any maintenance function.

* Helps custodians at time with cleaning and waxing floors or ant functions that they need assistance with.

* Helps with painting, cleaning walls, cleaning floors, cleaning machinery or any outside equipment or buildings.

* Keep yards clean and free of any trash or equipment parts.

* Must be able to work unexpected hours.

* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Must work safely at all times obeying both OSHA and company guidelines.

* Report any unsafe actions or conditions to management immediately.

* Must be able to work unsupervised.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (GED).

* Knowledge of manufacturing and prior work in manufacturing preferred.

* Must be able to read and follow written work instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

* Must be able to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.

* Must be able to stand on your feet for extended period of time.

* Must be able to work around equipment that generates extensive heat.

* Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat.

* Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.

* Must be able to work/collaborate with a team.

* Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, dust particles, and temperature extremes.
