Geomatics Manager

Acara Solutions is seeking a Geomatics Manager to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of survey professionals on topographic and hydrographic projects
• Act as Surveyor of Record and oversee project planning, execution, and quality control
• Assign staff and equipment, manage schedules, and ensure timely project delivery
• Collaborate with geophysics and geology teams on data interpretation and report generation
• Produce maps, figures, geohazard reports, and technical deliverables
• Support business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client meetings
• Engage with prospective clients to help define scope, win work, and close deals
• Maintain strong technical standards for safety, quality, and compliance
• Foster team development and continuous improvement

• Florida PSM (Professional Surveyor and Mapper) license required
• 10+ years of professional surveying experience, including crew supervision and QA/QC
• Experience managing land-based or hydrographic survey projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Surfer, and Microsoft Office
• Comfortable with occasional travel and offshore work as needed
• Familiarity with multibeam sonar, GPS, side scan sonar, or magnetometers is a plus-but not required
