As a Physical Security Supervisor at Lam Research, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our people, property, and operations across multiple California sites. You'll lead and coordinate comprehensvie physcial security strategies to ensure uniform protocal application, regulatory compliance , and real-time risk response. By developing tailored security plans, conducting on-site audits, managing vendor performance , and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll proactively identify threats and enhance our emergency preparedness posture. Your leadership will directly contribute to maintaining a safe, secure, and resilient work environment that supports operational continuity and instills confidence at all levels of the organization.

Regional Oversight:

• Manage and coordinate physical security operations across multiple sites within California, ensuring consistent application of security protocols.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess security measures and provide on-site support and guidance.

Security Planning:

• Develop and implement comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the specific needs of each site within the region, while maintaining GSO (Global Security Operations) standards.
• Collaborate with local management and Business Unit partners to integrate security measures into daily operations and emergency preparedness plans.

Risk Assessment:

• Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to the organization's assets and personnel.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks, including physical barriers, surveillance systems, and access control measures.

Incident Management:

• Lead the response to security incidents, including coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain an incident log and ensure timely reporting to senior management.

Vendor Management:

• Oversee relationships with security service providers, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of vendor performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to local, regional, and international security regulations and other relevant frameworks (ISO-27001).
• Stay updated on changes in security regulations and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.

Budget Management:

• Ensure cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high security standards.
• Monitor expenditures and provide regular budget reports to senior management.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments, including IT, HR, and Facilities, to integrate security measures into broader organizational initiatives.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address security-related issues and projects.

Reporting:

• Prepare and present regular reports on security status, incidents, and improvements to senior management.
• Provide detailed analysis and recommendations based on security data and trends.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in physical security management or related fields, with at least 8 years in a supervisory role.
• Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of security systems (Honeywell ProWatch, Salient, BlueBeam), technologies, and best practices. Familiarity with regional security regulations and standards.
• Certifications: ASIS: CPP, PCI, PSP or other applicable professional certification is preferred but not required.
• Attributes: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Travel: Willingness to travel within the US region as required.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
