Creative and Marketing Project Manager (Content/Copy-Focused)

Possible Contract-to-Hire | Onsite 4 Days/Week - Downtown Chicago, IL (Near Train Station)

Our client, a nationally recognized leader in post-secondary education and a top provider of professional healthcare talent, is seeking a Creative Project Manager with a focus on content workflow and AI integration. This role has the potential to convert to a permanent opportunity with our client and requires 4 days onsite in downtown Chicago.

Role Overview:

As this department scales up its creative capabilities, the Creative and Marketing Project Manager will take the lead in managing content and copy workflow across digital advertising and web content projects. You'll work closely with creative teams to ensure high-volume, fast-paced project flow - including social media ads, display banners, and web content. This will make up 70% of the role.

A unique aspect of this role: 30% will focus on AI platform integration (Writer and AdCreative). The ideal candidate will be someone who not only understands AI tools in a creative environment but is passionate about leveraging new technologies to drive efficiency and innovation within the content team.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage and optimize end-to-end content and copy workflows across creative teams
  • Oversee project timelines, resourcing, and execution for high-volume digital content projects (1,400+ annually)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for integrating AI platforms into content creation processes
  • Act as an industry-aware advisor to keep the content department current with AI advancements and best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and technology teams to ensure content delivery aligns with business goals



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience managing content-focused projects
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-volume digital content workflows
  • Strong understanding of AI platforms in a content setting (experience with Writer and/or AdCreative is a plus)
  • Proficiency in project management software (Workfront experience preferred)
