Support the business as a lead enterprise data and reporting resource. Implement and maintain Business Intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision making at all levels of the organization. Manage the creation and delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting to key stakeholders. Take an ownership role in the collection of accurate, clean, and impactful data. Successfully translate data intelligence into actionable insight for both technical and non-technical audiences. Contribute to corporate goals, including growing sales, reducing expenses, and increasing profitability.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

    Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement processes for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with data and governance to enforce data governance standards, including data quality, privacy, and security, to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies
  • Act as a subject matter expert for data governance practices, including metadata management, data quality assessments, and data stewardship
  • Develop reports and data visuals from business requirements and customer requests, inclusive of time estimates for construction and testing.
  • Perform complex data quality assessments on data sources and products, ensuring referential and historical integrity
  • Work face to face with customers to translate their needs into BI solutions and empowering end users to perform reconciliations
  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for data stewardship activities, including data quality, data availability, and compliance metrics
  • Perform functional and gap analysis to support new and existing reports, dashboards and analytics.
  • Perform complex data quality assessments on data sources and products, ensuring referential and historical integrity
  • Provide insights that support key business operations functions, including distribution, marketing, product management, and financial performance.
  • Communicate forecasting outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders, explaining model assumptions and limitations.
  • Demonstrate the capability and desire to learn emerging skills and/or programming languages that improve Business Intelligence through automation.
  • Performs review of peers as assigned by BI leads.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.

Experience/Knowledge

  • 4 or more years of work experience on a successful business intelligence team using modern BI tools and programming languages to support business intelligence customers.
  • Advanced understanding of data cataloging tools, metadata management platforms, SQL, and data modeling
  • Experience in data quality management and familiarity with ETL processes and data warehouses preferred
  • Experience optimizing business processes in a data-driven way.
  • Experience extracting data from various databases and systems to be used in enterprise reporting.
  • General knowledge of life insurance company operations is preferred.

Skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Python programming experience required. Familiarity with Python data engineering (Pandas) preferred.
  • Experience with databases and writing SQL queries to access data required.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI required.
  • Cloud computing experience (Azure, AWS, Databricks) required.
  • Demonstrated data analysis experience and ability to understand core business success drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to present and provide meaningful business insights from data, not just produce reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow direction and execute tasks independently.
  • Ability to plan and execute all phases of a project with group and independent responsibilities.
  • Ability to assist, train and mentor other staff members.

What's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $88,300 - $121,375. annually. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office per week.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
