EXCITED TO GROW YOUR CAREER? WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE! The Director, Internal Communications drives internal communications across all Maritz solutions by partnering with various stakeholders to articulate Maritz values, culture, and strategies.

This position will represent the voice of the employee to senior leadership to guide internal communications efforts. You'll work cross-functionally to develop communications plans based on deep understanding of internal audiences and our strategic direction.

Direct supervision of some outside vendors and suppliers on projects as needed. Manage budget for communications vendors and tools.

This is a hybrid position that sits in our Fenton, MO campus 2 - 3 days per week.

50% - Develop and Execute Communications Plans

  • Develop and execute MHI and targeted communications plans for internal audiences to drive awareness and understanding of company values, culture, strategy and other company-wide programs and initiatives. Includes communications from senior leadership, people and development (culture, DE&I, VOE, training & development) and benefits as well as internal crisis communications. Support change management efforts across the organization through communications.

30% - Communications Vehicles

  • Oversee and provides direction to all internal communications vehicles, such as MyMaritz, town halls and all company emails. Ensure MyMaritz is an up-to-date engaging communication mode. Train content users to ensure engaging and informative content is updated timing.

20% - Employment Brand

  • Support the Maritz employment brand to drive employee culture and awareness of Maritz as a great place to work. Will partner with team members to develop an overall messaging approach to recruiting, orientation and onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, marketing or business required or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years in marketing or internal communications role

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Strong judgment and confidentiality

  • Critical thinking skills; ability to problem solve

  • Ability to foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Project management experience

  • Attention to detail
