Data Engineer I

Work with division engineers, data scientists, developers and business to understand needs and gather information. Understand, design, and architect complex systems and develop solutions that will scale, adapt, and enhance the business. Use knowledge and techniques of software and database architecture, application development, real-time processing, and reliable infrastructure to develop systems, software, services and processes that run models / algorithms and ensure reliability.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, CIS, or MIS.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience as Data Engineer.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, CIS, or MIS.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: If qualifying based on a Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience, the required two (2) years of experience as Data Engineer must have included use of SQL, Python, and Java and must have involved software architecture, distributed computing, data acquisition, cloud development, and redundant systems.

If qualifying based on a Master's Degree without two years of experience, the Master's Degree program must have included courses in Data Structures and Algorithms, Data Analysis, and Machine Learning.

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
