Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of the product inventory, storage, mixing, and monitoring of chemicals used in the sanitation process.
- Maintains all required records for the chemicals used in the process and evaluates data for required usage and compliance.
- Ability to perform simple titration checks to monitor chemical usage in the sanitation activities.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with chemicals, equipment, and the overall process.
- Collaborates with plant management on improving systems and processes that impact all sanitation activities.
- Adheres to all Company, local, state, and federal food safety and workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures corrective actions are taken and implemented when an issue is identified that the program has failed to prevent a hazard within the production process.
- Complete and thorough understanding of new and current federal, state, and local regulations that affect sanitation activities associated with food manufacturing.

- Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, chemistry, microbiology or a related field or equivalent or laboratory experience in a food manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of chemical and mechanical systems and processes.
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations, including those specific to the protein industry preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with sanitation management software and MS Office applications.

- C shift and required by the business.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility and primarily will be on the production floor.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position is primarily on the production floor and will have limited office time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment requires you to wear hearing protection at all times on the production floor.
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
