Job Title: Admissions Specialist Department: Admissions, College of Nursing College/Division: General University Primary Job Posting Location: Atlanta, GA 30341 Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details: Mercer University is searching for an Admissions Specialist for the College of Nursing on the Atlanta, GA campus. Responsibilities : The Admissions Specialist is the first point of contact for inquiries who want to learn about the College of Nursing. As the first point of contact, this individual must be knowledgeable and articulate, while conveying genuine interest and enthusiasm. The Admissions Specialist is responsible for an array of day-to-day office functions, including a large volume of phone calls, emails, as well as visitors. While interacting with the prospective student inquiry pool, this person will also complete daily correspondence and vast database entry with attention to detail. An integral part of the admissions team, the Admissions Specialist is a support person for the Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Admissions and the Admissions Counselor, who all evaluate student applications and plan/execute strategic recruitment activities. Qualifications : A high school diploma or GED and two years of prior office/clerical experience to include customer service and working with databases and web-based platforms is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Candidates must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
