Job Summary

The Production Scheduler coordinates work orders, prioritizes production schedules, and assigns tasks to teams for efficient execution, ensuring timely delivery and production goals are met. Works closely with Production Planner and Production teams.

Primary Duties

  • Coordinate and prioritize production schedules by managing various order types and priorities, aligning them with customer demands and production capacities.
  • Create orders for repackaging and collaborate with the appropriate team to ensure parts are either shipped or properly stored.
  • Assign and coordinate orders for machine shop or kit packaging to ensure timely completion and delivery to their destinations.
  • Monitor the flow of operations and ensure delivery on-time by tracking progress and ensuring adherence to schedules and deadlines.
  • Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and material shortage issues to minimize disruptions and optimize workflow.
  • Provide training and support to order pickers and other warehouse associates to facilitate accurate processing of orders.
  • Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of materials and components needed for production.
  • Aid the team as needed, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow during peak periods or when additional support is required.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of production processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with different departments to achieve production goals.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to warehouse safety practices and procedures.
  • Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.


Education / Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Previous experience in production scheduling, planning, or related roles within a manufacturing or production environment is typically required. Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and production scheduling software is advantageous.
