Job Summary: Provides strategic leadership for the bank's governmental and legislative affairs program. Defines and directs advocacy initiatives to shape public policy and regulatory outcomes that support the bank's long-term goals. Builds and sustains high-level relationships with legislators, government agencies, and industry associations to ensure the bank's voice is effectively represented. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide government affairs strategy.
- Serve as the bank's primary representative to elected officials and policy organizations.
- Set advocacy priorities in coordination with executive leadership and legal counsel.
- Oversee engagement with trade associations, lobbying firms, and grassroots networks.
- Oversee the bank's political action committee (PAC) activity and governance.
- Guide internal alignment on legislative initiatives and external policy messaging.
- Manage compliance with lobbying disclosure laws and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; JD or Master's degree in Political Science, Law, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field strongly preferred.
- 12+ years in public affairs, government relations, or senior legal/policy roles.
- Deep understanding of legislative and regulatory processes in banking and finance.
- Proven executive presence and political acumen.

- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
