Description Maine Medical CenterManagement/Leadership Reporting directly to the ED Nursing Director, the ED Nurse Manager shares responsibilities with 2 Nurse Mangers. Responsibilities include day to day operations of the department, ensuring effective throughput and safety. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory compliance, fostering staff engagement, and supporting a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement. Our Emergency Department is staffed by over 100FTE's shared between 3 Nurse Managers. This is an in-person role, supporting both the Biddeford and Sanford Emergency Department locations. This role is normally scheduled weekdays, with occasional early morning or evening responsibilities. Summary: The Nurse Manager has 24-hour accountability for the provision of nursing services on their unit. S/he is responsible for maintaining systems and procedures that will ensure quality patient care, promote cost effectiveness, educate and support competent nursing practice. The Nurse Manager skills entail coaching, motivating and leading a professional team to provide safe and effective care.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
