We are seeking a Sr. Buyer for Indirect Materials with a strong background in procurement and supplier management in support of indirect procurement categories such as HR good and services, Facilities, Lab services and other relevant spend to join our Global Supply Chain Team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the procurement activities and spend control related to all areas of the business requiring indirect material expenditure. This candidate will work with cross-functional teams and will play a key role in supporting organizational success in deploying supply chain management best practices and spend control. What you will be doing:
- Order processing: Review purchase requisition to ensure requests adhere to p2p process.
- Order tracking and expediting: Monitor order progress, address any issues with suppliers, and expedite deliveries when needed
- Invoice reconciliation: Assist the accounting department in reconciling discrepancies on invoices.
- Identifying needs: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand material needs and specifications.
- RFP bidding in response to request for pricing/quoting for department needs in the assigned categories. Examples: Lab services, Facilities, HR goods and services
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for relevant RFPs and project needs.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other contract terms with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Track and evaluate supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Identify and implement opportunities for supplier improvement
- Analyze purchase volume and identify areas for optimization. Identify other potential cost savings opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Progressive experience in indirect procurement, at least 3 years preferred
- Effective communicator with ability to influence stakeholders
- Hands-on ability to perform analysis on large amount of data to drive insights and decisions
- Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead price, delivery and terms negotiations with guidance from supply chain leadership and in accordance w/ company P2P policies
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or accredited certification in business, management, operations, procurement or supply chain is strongly preferred
- Direct experience with procurement or supply chain in an established life science, medical device or bio technology related organization
- Experience working within cross functional project teams with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems and planning tools such as Oracle, SAP, QAD or other commonly used manufacturing software. 10x presently uses Oracle for P2P management.
- Familiarity with the P2P cycle and related activities
- Experience with sourcing and procurement of a variety of equipment, parts, and services supporting administrative, lab ops, R&D, development teams and manufacturing such as lab supplies and equipment, PPE, MRO or other services such as janitorial, cafeteria, marketing or administrative business spending.

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
