About Salesforce

We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

We're looking for an experienced engineering leader to join the Office of the Chief Architect at Salesforce. Reporting directly to the Chief Architect, this high-impact role will help define our strategy for the key intersection of infrastructure and data that powers personalized agentic experiences at hyperscale.

This is more than just an architecture role-it's a unique opportunity to influence the future of Salesforce. You'll work directly with senior technical and business leaders to architect at global scale, shape foundational strategy, and help create customer experiences that feel intelligent, adaptive, and truly personal. If you're passionate about architecting at scale and influencing technical direction across one of the world's largest cloud platforms, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with technology leaders across Salesforce to define and drive a cohesive strategy at the convergence of hyperscale infrastructure (public and private), and hyperscale data (structured, unstructured, multimodal; transactional, lakehouse, graph, vector, etc) in support of highly personalized and highly performant agentic experiences.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and standardize scalable, secure, and extensible architectural patterns and services.

  • Lead cross-cloud architectural efforts to ensure consistency, interoperability, and performance across platforms.

  • Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor to senior engineering and product leadership, contributing to long-term architectural roadmaps.

  • Mentor, support, and partner with architects and engineers across the organization, promoting a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and alignment.

  • Explore and implement AI-powered solutions and tools to advance architectural design and strategic decision-making.

What We're Looking For:

  • 15 years of experience in software engineering and architecture, with deep expertise in distributed systems, infrastructure, and data platforms (lakehouse, streaming, search/ vector, etc).

  • At least 10 years of experience in platform architecture (SaaS, PaaS) with at least three 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role

  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and environments (public/private) and ability to lead the team through technical challenges in implementation

  • Proven ability to architect and scale cloud-native systems that support intelligent automation and AI-driven real-time personalization.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, GCP, Azure), with deep knowledge of infrastructure services, scalability, and optimization.

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to influence across complex, matrixed organizations. Experience driving alignment across product, infrastructure, and platform teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of influencing, mentoring, and inspiring large technical organizations.
