Full-time, Night shift, 7pm-7:30am

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

The Monitor Tech will monitor patient heart rhythms, document irregularities and notify nurses of arrhythmia 100% of the time. Additional training will be provided to perform advanced level skills related to observing telemetry monitors and identifying deviation from normal conditions. Previous Monitor Tech experience preferred.



  • Monitors patient heart rhythms, documents irregularities and notifies nurse of arrhythmia 100% of the time.
  • Consistently maintains expertise in reading, interpreting, and documenting cardiac rhythms.
  • Assists in the evaluation of new products/equipment.
  • Consistently demonstrates cost effective use of supplies and equipment.
  • Participates in a variety of activities to keep the work area and unit safe and clean.
  • Communicates and interacts with care team and maintains good working relationships, and outcome-oriented patient care.
  • Acts as a preceptor to other employees as needed.
  • Maintains telemetry monitors/equipment and escalates abnormal conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience:



  • High school graduate or GED
  • American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
  • Previous Monitor Tech experience preferred


Salary Range: Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 25.92/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
