What you'll do

Docusign is looking for a highly motivated Atlassian Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our corporate Atlassian environment, including emerging capabilities like Atlassian AI, Rovo, and agentic automation. This role involves daily administration of business-critical Atlassian applications, ensuring adherence to vendor management and Atlassian policies, integrating SaaS solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to maximize the value of their SaaS portfolios.

You will lead the integration and enablement of Atlassian Intelligence (AI) features across tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Rovo, and work to identify agentic use cases that boost automation, streamline knowledge access, and enhance decision-making. You'll explore and implement agent-based workflows that autonomously support users, reduce manual toil, and optimize collaboration across the business.

As a key member of the Cloud Applications team, you will own service strategy and delivery for Atlassian platforms while also advancing the enterprise adoption of AI-powered features and capabilities within our SaaS landscape.

This position is an indivdual contributor role reporting to Senior Manager, Cloud Apps.

Responsibility

  • Support the rollout and adoption of Atlassian Intelligence features such as Rovo agents, smart answers, and contextual automation

  • Assist in enabling AI-powered search, documentation discovery, and summarization experiences through Rovo

  • Contribute to the company-wide enablement of AI capabilities within the Atlassian platform, including awareness, onboarding, and support initiatives

  • Gather and document business requirements to support the design of AI-assisted workflows and tool configurations

  • Support administration of the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Rovo), including user access, basic configurations, and permission schemes

  • Help configure Jira workflows, screens, and notification settings under guidance from senior team members

  • Contribute to the creation of dashboards and reports, incorporating both standard Jira metrics and AI-generated insights

  • Assist with platform upgrades, license tracking, and compliance activities related to user access and governance

  • Collaborate with internal teams to triage issues, troubleshoot problems, and support documentation and root cause analysis

  • Begin learning and contributing to automation and integration efforts using Atlassian REST APIs


Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.


What you bring

Basic

  • 2+ years of experience in enterprise technology with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience with AI features in the Atlassian ecosystem, including Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo
  • Experience with workflow configuration, automation scripting (e.g., ScriptRunner), and dashboard/report creation
  • Exposure to languages/tools such as Python, Java, HTML, SQL, or Linux
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, CI/CD practices, and team-based development workflows
  • Experience using or integrating with Atlassian REST APIs
  • Ability to support Atlassian instances in cloud and/or data center environments

Preferred

  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Atlassian Certified Professional credentials or similar certification in progress
  • Experience supporting AI-powered features within Jira and Confluence, including agents and predictive recommendations
  • Interest in agentic frameworks and exposure to autonomous or semi-autonomous AI use cases
  • Experience contributing to change management or enablement programs for new tools or features
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Exposure to Atlassian environment migration or consolidation projects

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $94,000.00 - $136,600.00 base salary

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $89,400.00 - $116,175.00 base salary

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $89,400.00 - $122,125.00 base salary

Washington DC: $94,000.00 - $122,125.00 base salary

Ohio: $80,000.00 - $104,000.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
