We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of a Manager, Data Management to join our Data Management department in Spokane, Washington. This full-time position reports to the VP of Data Governance and Operations, oversees a team of Data Analysts, manages incoming work and projects for the group, and collaborates with other departments to meet their needs. After an initial in-office training period, this position is eligible for workplace flexibility and a one-time home office stipend. Employees are expected to continue working from their office location a minimum of 60% of the time. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:
Typical starting range: $78,000 - $111,300 Full base salary range: $78,000 - $138,500 Annual performance-based incentive target is 12% of base. Job Requirements
- Lead triages and centralize incoming requests from departments and coordinate the assignment of data management resources.
- Track involvement in workstreams across the organization.
- Track workstreams giving visibility to both in progress and upcoming work. Identify and work to remove roadblocks, schedule meetings, and escalate issues as needed.
- Participate in project teams representing data management and connecting project team members to specific subject matter experts within the data team.
- Collaborate with project managers, providing data management expertise and assignment of data resources.
- Meet regularly to coordinate tracks and prioritize work with Business Data Analysts.
- Provide updates to data management leadership and staff about workstreams.
- Operations
- Provide estimates of effort and cost for data enhancements and other requests.
- Provide communication to data stakeholders about changes, enhancements, or issues with data.
- Work with the operational support team to resolve issues and job failures.
- Governance
- Gather appropriate documentation, diagrams, code, testing and validations to coordinate new enhancements into the production data platform submitting to Change Advisory Board (CAB) as needed.
- Review validation, testing documentation, and test cases for completeness and accuracy.
- Work with internal controls and internal audit to provide documentation and make improvements.
- Manage and coordinate the creation and maintenance of data management policies and procedures.
- Analyze sources of data to be used for reports, presentations, and other purposes.
- Address and resolves questions, issues, and concerns with regards to data.
- Work with Business Intelligence Developers and data analysts to improve accessibility of data.
- Human Resource Leadership
- Provide proactive human resource leadership to promote high levels of employee engagement, customer service, teamwork, and productivity.

Perform all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with association policies, procedures, and internal controls, and ensure assigned staff follow association policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Generally, requires at least three years' experience in data management or related field, ideally in financial institution operations
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications and other related industry applications
- Strong SQL skills, with detailed knowledge of DML and DDL techniques and best practices in one or more relational database platforms
- Strong development skills in one or more C-family of languages: Python (preferred), C#, R, or Java
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), source control systems (GIT, etc.), process flowcharts, Entity-Relationship diagrams, and data management environments
- Knowledge of Azure environment for data projects, including one of the following: Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, Databricks, SparkSQL, Jupyter, Anaconda
- Effective decision-making skills as well as strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and team skills
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in one of the following reporting/business intelligence technologies: Microsoft Power BI Paginated/SSRS, SSAS, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, MicroStrategy, Cognos, OBIEE, Hyperion, etc.
- Experience contributing to Business Requirements Documents, High-Level Design Documents, Functional Design Documents, and other development documentation
- Working knowledge of financial industry business processes and data infrastructure
