We're actively seeking a talented Senior Group Underwriter to join our Workforce Benefits Team. This position is remote.

As a Senior Group Underwriter you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by being responsible for evaluating and assessing the risk of insuring groups for dental, vision, life, disability and supplemental health insurance products. This role involves analyzing detailed information to determine the terms and conditions of insurance policies, ensuring that the company maintains profitability while providing competitive insurance solutions.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Risk Assessment:Evaluate case characteristics and determine the risk involved in insuring a group.

  • Premium Calculation:Calculate appropriate premiums based on risk assessment and financial data.

  • Compliance:Ensure all policies comply with federal and state regulations.

  • Client Interaction:Works with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide underwriting decisions.

  • Market Analysis:Stay updated on industry trends and changes in insurance regulations to make informed underwriting decisions.

  • Documentation:Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, policies, and declined risks.

The experience you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Typically requires a 4-year degree or equivalent experience

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.

  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.

  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own family and basic knowledge of related families.

  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.

  • Represents a level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$78,840.00 - $96,360.00
