Job Description

Purpose:

Support a sustainable leadership development continuum that delivers comprehensive, research-informed learning and support for Missouri school leaders. The goal is to improve educator effectiveness and student outcomes.

Expected Outcome:

Develop effective leaders who foster successful school communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting:
  • Report participant names, institutions, and technical assistance to DESE.
  • Support third-party MLDS evaluations.
Program Activities:
  • Support DESE in leadership development.
  • Review and revise MLDS content and activities.
Training:
  • Facilitate induction for new members using DESE protocols.
  • Lead professional learning aligned with MLDS competencies:
  • Visionary, Instructional, Managerial, Relational, and Innovative Leadership
Planning & Collaboration:
  • Engage in DESE evaluation instruments.
  • Support Teacher of the Year programs.
  • Collect/report data on MLDS participation, effectiveness, and impact.
  • Recognize effective educators and support novice leaders.
  • Assist with leadership in high-need schools and special programs (SAMs, Leadership Academy).
  • Sustain MLDS scope and implementation.
Meetings/Conferences:
  • Attend all MLDS team meetings and present at partner events as appropriate.
Travel:
  • Travel within assigned RPDC region and attend required statewide meetings, with prior approval if absent.
Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

12 month appointment. 40 hours per week.

Expected to work 100% remote.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants will be selected for consideration based on the following preferred qualifications:

  • Three years or more teaching experience; five years successful experience as a school building leader.
  • MO Teaching Certificate
  • Master's Degree
  • Administrative Certification

Skills:

  • Strong verbal/written communication
  • Effective adult learning facilitation
  • Collaboration and advocacy for MLDS
  • Relevant leadership experience sharing

Experience:

  • Certified and experienced as a building (lead or assistant) principal
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $52,915.20 - $57,000 yearly

Grade: GGS-010
