WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Start Up (Commissioning) Engineer in our Green Bay, Wisconsin and Wausau, Wisconsin locations. This position is part of the Customer Service and Operations business unit in the Start-Up Engineering Group. This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineer, Engineer, and Senior Engineer) where experience will be the determining factor. The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for evaluating the condition of electrical equipment after installation, but before final energization to verify equipment functions as designed. This position will require travel throughout the Wisconsin Public Service territory and will primarily work in substations and power plant facilities. This role will require field work during a variety of different weather conditions. Job Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation. Preferred Qualifications
End Date: 07/16/2025 Pay Range Minimum: $66,898.00 Pay Range Maximum: $132,708.94 The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
