Ready to make an impact with your financial expertise? Join WSECU's Finance team! In this role, you'll support key financial analysis and system processes that inform strategic decisions, regulatory compliance, and treasury functions like deposit pricing, liquidity, and interest rate risk.

You'll collaborate with business units on loan and deposit pricing strategies, contribute to business planning, and support new product development, all while staying aligned with our Brand Promise and regulatory standards. Your day may include:

  • Maintaining WSECU's profitability reporting system, including ownership of the system framework and communication with the external application provider
  • Preparing profitability reports and supporting related Committee presentations
  • Assisting in the preparation of ALM report materials and supporting Committee presentations
  • Assisting senior team members with the interpretation of interest rate risk results to identify risks, opportunities, and recommend management strategies
  • Ensuring corporate interest rate risk assessment practices comply with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the execution of the Business Plan Development
  • Assisting with researching and updating annual and business plan forecasts in coordination with business units for balance sheet and income statement projections
  • Updating deposit, investments and operational status reports for management reviews
  • Providing financial analytical support to business units for new and existing products and projects such as product launch, feature enhancements, promotion and branch location analysis, etc.
  • Conducting competitive research for strategic and business planning for major products
  • Supporting the credit union's derivative hedging program to reduce funding costs and improve interest rate risk profile
  • Supporting liquidity and cash flow planning and analysis
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of financial contingency plans, including the Contingency Funding Plan and the Recession Playbook
  • Developing and coordinating holistic enterprise product pricing strategies across consumer loans, mortgages, and deposits
  • Coordinating with the Secondary Market team to align mortgage sales with balance sheet and profitability strategies
  • Providing organization-wide support for financial modeling, statistical analysis, and quantitative problem solving

What you bring to the team:

  • BA in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, or a related quantitative science
  • Three (3) or more years of work experience in finance, analytics, banking, accounting or quantitative analysis or an advanced educational degree in a related field and Two (2) years of related work experience
  • Provide prompt and efficient service demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to perform complex financial, statistical and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficient in modeling techniques and data management software such as Tableau, SQL and Snowflake. Financial modeling software experience, ALM required
  • Knowledge of derivative instruments and bond investments
  • Proficient in modeling techniques and data management software
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience with financial systems such as FIS

Competitive pay: $39.42 - $59.14 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package.

  • The target starting pay for this position is $39.42 - $49.28 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
  • The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.

Position location: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite at least one (1) or two (2) days per week.

Working from home/hybrid requirements:

  • Reliable, high-speed home internet connection
  • Private, confidential workspace, away from distractions and other people
  • Suitable desk/surface and desk chair

When you'd work: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm, full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility required to meet this nonexempt position.
