Position Summary: The Manager, IT Enterprise Solutions provides visionary leadership and strategic direction across enterprise application systems, software development, and collaboration platforms. This individual is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and support of software systems and solutions that drive organizational productivity and transformation.

Position Responsibilities



  • Enterprise Applications & Architecture:

    • Lead the planning, design, and evolution of application architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and alignment with organizational needs
    • Oversee software development lifecycles, SaaS integration, and DevOps practices to ensure efficient delivery of solutions.
    • Direct software version control, upgrade planning, and portfolio management to maintain performance and compliance.


  • Technology & End-User Support:

    • Manage application support teams to provide timely resolution and superior service.
    • Lead enterprise collaboration and communication solutions including Microsoft 365 and web platforms.
    • Oversee software access protocols, license management, and asset inventory tracking.


  • Strategic Leadership & Business Enablement:

    • Drive business process improvement initiatives in collaboration with departments.
    • Lead solution optimization across all major and critical software platforms.
    • Lead change management strategies that support user adoption and continuous improvement.
    • Serve as the liaison with software vendors and manage software-related budgets effectively.
    • Foster healthy business relationships with business leaders and their teams.
    • Manage the intake process for all software and business solution requests, including new software applications, existing system upgrades, and functional module additions.
    • Gather and codify all business requirements related to incoming software related requests.


  • Risk Management & Policy Development:

    • Establish and enforce software usage policies and standards
    • Ensure continuity planning and disaster recovery processes for enterprise applications.
    • Support audit and compliance requirements across platforms.


  • Engagement, Training & Governance:

    • Lead a Power User Group that champions best practices and innovation.
    • Design and coordinate ongoing user training and professional development.
    • Report performance metrics and strategic outcomes to IT leadership.


  • Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to LCEC's emergency recovery efforts, e.g., hurricane recovery. This requires extended working hours (>12 hours per day) for continuous days (multiple weeks), as needed. Restoration duties may not be aligned with regular work duties.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Required)
  • Master's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Preferred)


Experience:



  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise application management, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role. (Required)
  • 5+ years of experience in energy delivery utility space. designing and planning computer systems and networks. (Required)
  • 5+ years of experience with software deployments/implementations/migrations into cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. (Required)
  • 3+ years of experience leading software development teams. (Required)
  • Managed teams of 15+ with 3+ supervisory-level direct reports. (Required)
  • Proven experience with SaaS platforms, Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and DevOps practices. (Required)
  • Deep experience supporting Microsoft 365 and IT related modules. (Required)
  • Strong leadership, project management, and change management abilities. (Required)
  • 3+ years of experience in the electric co-op space. (Preferred)
  • Experience implementing, supporting, or optimizing NISC iVUE and Esri GIS. (Preferred)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and ITSM frameworks. (Preferred)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Solid understanding of SCADA and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP). (Preferred)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. (Preferred)
  • Solid vendor management and budgeting capabilities. (Preferred)

STORM DUTY REQUIREMENTS.... Responding to storms may be considered a condition of employment: LCEC provides critical services to our community during an emergency.
