Utz is seeking a Supply Planner. Utz is in the process of launching Integrated Business Management (IBM) as part of a strategic initiative to improve business planning processes and support significant growth. This position will be responsible for leading and managing the tactical and strategic activities over the entire planning horizon which is typically 18 - 24 months, periodically extended to support strategic planning.

Responsibilities



  • Creation of a Master Supply Plan by converting the consensus demand plan into a supply plan for all products/stocking locations.
  • Development of a Rough Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) to identify capacity constraints (or excess capacity) in the supply chain; participate in a cross functional team to develop proposals for mitigation of capacity issues across the planning horizon.
  • Create and/or change planned orders derived from the Master Supply Plan to signal manufacturing as to the production requirements.
  • Maintain target inventory levels at warehouse(s) and plant locations to meet fill rate targets established by business policy.
  • Review system alerts and develop actions plans with key stakeholders to remediate supply issues.
  • On a monthly basis, prepare necessary charts/ graphs for the Supply Review as part of the IBM cadence; attend such meeting and execute on action items assigned from this meeting.
  • On a monthly basis, review Plan Attainment and understand the variances and key drivers of the performance. Participate in the development of action plans to modify future planning process to drive systemic improvement with key stakeholders.
  • On a weekly/monthly basis, liaise with Transportation / Warehousing functions to assure adequate capacity.
  • Become a member of a team that will launch advanced planning system capabilities; develop a skill set to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Monitor and maintain key master data in both the system of record and in the enterprise planning tool.


Requirements



  • A minimum of 3 years of Supply Chain planning experience, inclusive of experience in inventory management
  • Proven ability to conduct complex, quantitative and statistical analyses complimented with qualitative inputs from multiple sources to draw conclusions, make recommendations.
  • A track record of successfully delivering to business objectives against schedule and quality expectations.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills ability to make critical decisions based on the best information at hand and take a leadership role in building consensus among several parties to resolve problems.
  • Previous experience with an ERP and Advanced Planning system capabilities.
  • Position requires a high-level proficiency with MS Excel, reporting software and competency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with implementing key performance metrics as a basis for process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, ability to work with minimal direction.
