Description
The Kegonsa School Principals' Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and clerical assistance to the Principal at Kegonsa Elementary School.

Reports To:
Building Principal

Essential Job Functions:
1. Works cooperatively with parents, students, staff, and the community.
2. Performs office duties that include typing, filing, copying, faxing, mail sorting, answering phone calls, taking messages and routing calls.
3. Collects data using word processing and spreadsheet programs and databases including but not limited to Google, Infinite Campus, Excel, Word, Skyward, Publisher, Power point and PageMaker and others.
4. Works with digital imagining equipment such as digital cameras and scanners, and edits images.
5. Collects other data and information as directed. (i.e. surveying other conference schools for information, internet searches etc.)
6. Types, prepares, distributes reports and correspondence.
7. Maintains Skyward budget information and records. Completes purchase orders.
8. Provides back-up support for other Administrative Assistants in the building.
9. Orders, processes and maintains materials and equipment.
10. Processes and maintains purchase orders.
11. Processes requests for student work permits.
12. Provide support for correspondence
13. Substitutes to cover for other office staff when needed.
14. Possesses good communication skills.
15. Ability to work independently.
16. Ability to respond positively to diverse needs of staff, parents, students and the community.
17. Demonstrates the ability to problem solve when policies or procedures may not be clearly defined.
18. Ability to exercise initiative, original thinking and judgment; drawing upon factual background and fundamental principles.
19. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
20. Effective written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with staff, parents, students and the community.
21. Works collaboratively with principals and student activity advisors to implement District business practices.
22. Works collaboratively with distance education coordinator to coordinate student curriculum activities.

All other duties assigned which relate to the functions of the job.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
2. Ability to Type 60 wpm (ideal)
3. Familiarity with current office procedures and equipment such as computer, fax machine, copy machine, phone system, digital equipment, etc
4. Advanced experience in word processing, databases and spreadsheet applications
5. Experience in an office environment
6. Excellent organizational skills
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Customer-service focused with the ability to be flexible
9. Ability to maintain confidential information
10. Demonstrates flexibility and ability to be a team player

Requirements of Essential Functions:
Occasional: (1-33%) Bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, squatting, reaching and stair climbing in order to perform essential job functions.

Lifting: 0-10 pounds constantly (67-100%)
