Woodburn, Oregon - MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility

Join our team as the Health Services Office Specialist 2 at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility. In this role, you'll maintain medical files, ensure confidentiality, screen calls, and provide exceptional customer service to youth and staff. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing client billings, ordering supplies, and supporting office operations. You'll also coordinate transportation for medical appointments.   • The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.

What You Need to Qualify:

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents

OR

  • An associate degree in any field

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Driver License Required:

Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).

Must be able to work under the following conditions with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • This person communicates with a range of organizations, officials, individuals from different cultural and demographic backgrounds, attorneys representing clients, District Attorneys, and members of the public.

  • Frequent exposure to high visible and sensitive projects.

  • Works with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced, demanding office environment that requires the ability to independently identify and set priorities, adapt to rapidly changing situations and issues, multitask, meet tight deadlines, and understand the political and public sensitivity of issues and decisions.

  • Occasional travel to MacLaren and Oak Creek Youth Correctional facilities may occur often and may include other facilities and field offices as needed.
