Purpose of Position: The Senior Credit Analyst role includes underwriting large agricultural accounts, financial reporting, data analysis, asset discovery, and aiding in the management of the accounts receivable portfolio at the time of origination through collection of the account. This role works across the enterprise of Wilbur-Ellis with accounts nationwide.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Experience analyzing large agricultural accounts for credit worthiness. The credit limits on the analyzed accounts are typically in excess of $500,000 and at times may exceed $10 million.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in agricultural credit underwriting and analysis.

  • Analyze large agricultural accounts for creditworthiness, typically with limits exceeding $500,000 and occasionally over $10 million.

  • Conduct thorough credit reviews and provide informed underwriting recommendations.

  • Consolidate and analyze customer financials and tax information to draw conclusions and guide decisions.

  • Draft security agreements and UCC-1 filings; perform lien priority analysis in accordance with UCC rules.

  • Support collections by identifying and analyzing assets tied to past due accounts.

  • Build and design automation tools to streamline credit and underwriting processes.

  • Create data visualizations for Credit, Sales, and Operations teams to track status and trends of accounts receivable.

  • Maintain compliance with company documentation procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

  • Communicate regularly with Credit Managers and the Director of Credit and Financing.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Process or workflow drafting experience.

  • Knowledge of credit systems and experience in using them.

  • Experience in agriculture or agricultural related business.

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Ag, or Finance.

  • Experience with credit systems, PowerBI, and datasets.

  • Given remote work and the nature of the workload, this person should be a self-starter as well as goal and task oriented.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Problem solving skills where you find an issue that needs to be solved, deliberate about it, determine a solution, and then act on the solution.

  • Proactive approach with an emphasis on timely response to requests.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $76,600 to $102,080. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.

  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
