YOUR IMPACT
A Sr. Production Support Specialist role at OpenText is more than just a job, it's an opportunity to impact lives. As a key contributor, you'll be instrumental in constructing cutting-edge information management solutions that contribute to providing help desk services to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for all production staff; troubleshooting server hardware, network and software issues; analyzing customer requirements and providing input on the design of a solution; supporting and implementing technical configurations; providing technical and functional guidance; meeting internal standards and best practices for consistency and high-quality project delivery.

You will work closely together with Operations/Production Management, Project Management, and other IT and PS Consultants in the support and delivery of OpenText engagements.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
* Diagnoses and repairs problems and deploys upgrades to existing Systems and Networks.
* Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripherals; performs hardware updates as needed.
* Provides user support and assistance, including system backups and problem-solving across IT infrastructure (servers, workstations, configurations, etc.).
* Studies and analyzes user, system, server, workstation, and network needs.
* Troubleshoots technical problems and trains users on proper hardware and software usage.
* Assists in the selection, installation, and updating of information center tools.
* Evaluates new and existing software products.
* Advises users on the interpretation of reports and report capabilities, limitations, etc.
* Recommends and implements solutions and processes for reliable and stable data storage management, security, backup, restoration, archiving and replication.
* Works with production management and production team as required to keep production running efficiently, including but not limited to scanners (film and paper), scan stations, indexing stations, and QA stations.
* May meet with customers occasionally at the request of management.
* Is a liaison for state government contracts. Responsible for understanding and assisting with implementing all contract technical obligations in production.
* Demonstrates technical leadership on OpenText's Document Capture Services (DCS) business, by analyzing requirements and building solutions for customers, specifically focusing on Captiva, Information & Security Modeling, Records Management & Physical Objects, Workflow and Reporting.
* Works in conjunction with OpenText colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues.
* Generates high-quality project documentation, including, but not limited to requirements document, technical design document, test plans, and knowledge transfer documentation.
* Acts as technical and organizational lead and expert during the project lifecycle.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical support role.
* Expert with virtualization (vSphere) , server and network infrastructure.
* Proficient with all current versions of Microsoft Windows.
* Proficient with computer and network hardware.
* Familiarity with OpenText Captiva product.
* Familiarity with other OpenText Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications such as Content Server.
* Candidate must be proficient in conversing, reading, and writing in English.
* Ability to interact with business resources and respond confidently to business and product usage questions.
* Ability to interact with technical resources and respond confidently to technical questions.
* A strong presence, technical depth and breadth, and presentation skills are a must.
* Ability to communicate clearly in oral or written format.
* Excellent project delivery practices.
* Ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
