What you'll do

The Inventory Analyst is a high-performing team member who will support the Senior Inventory Accountant by taking ownership of critical controls and processes around inventory management which includes accounting for inventory operations, performance of analytical activities, creation and maintenance of reporting schedules for inventory and products, as well as assistance with period-end close processes and general ledger accuracy for inventory related accounts. You will be part of the company's accounting team who manages period-end close processes, internal management reporting, external financial reporting, and the annual audit in compliance with GAAP standards and day-to-day accounting operations.

Job Aspects:



  • Ensure appropriate inventory valuation and costing of all products in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Assist in Month-end closing, inventory & BS account reconciliations and analyze inventory valuation and cost variances.
  • Review the accuracy and investigate issues with transactions relating to purchase orders, inventory receipts, inventory fulfillment, co-manufacturer inventory reports, supply chain invoices, warehouse inventory adjustments, inventory counts and other records impacting inventory in the general ledger.
  • Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count / physical inventories as needed.
  • Prepare ad hoc schedules routinely and as requested for internal and parent-level reporting requirements.
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects related to inventory and fulfillment operations, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations in connection with financial statement audits and regulatory filings.
  • Assist with and ensure successful audits related to the inventory process.
  • Perform variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Cost variance, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances.

  • Able to extract pertinent data from ERP system or other sources to support above duties, comfortable working with large data sets

  • Able to consistently exhibit high qualities in interactions with employees at all levels of the organization, vendors, customers and others
  • Capable of performing other duties as assigned by Management
  • Highly organized and detail oriented


You have...



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience/ CPA preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory accounting, analysis control and warehousing operational processes.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including balance sheet and GL.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and maintain high ethical standards of integrity and quality.
  • Ability to have an innovative and dynamic approach to work.
