The Talent Management & Organizational Development (TMOD) Consultant provides support in organizational design and implementation to business units and leaders with a focus on coaching and leadership development, talent assessment and succession planning, employee engagement, workforce planning and fostering a culture of performance excellence. This job partners with TMOD team, client groups and HR service lines to deploy and improve existing talent programs and to further develop pipelines.
Essential Job Statement Supports the implementation of talent planning which includes but is not limited to succession planning, leadership selection and assessment, leadership development planning/pipelining and organizational development readiness plan. Analyzes the results of talent assessments and surveys (e.g., engagement surveys, 360-degree assessment feedback) to identify leadership development needs and design countermeasures to address the needs. Maintain mentorship programs to connect experienced team members with those interested in their work. Builds, coaches and facilitates effective teams through the effective use of tools, team building activities, development activities, supporting the leaders in creating an engaged environment. Organizes, facilitates, and acquires necessary resources and materials for leadership development training. Assists with the development and delivery of content and leadership development offerings. Conducts follow up studies of all completed leadership development training to evaluate and measure results Leverages current and emerging learning technologies to respond to organizational talent development needs. Supports talent management efforts by consulting with management on requirements and organization structure. Performs other duties as assigned and/or participates in special projects in order to support the mission of VCUHS and the Department. Patient Population: N/A Employment Qualifications Preferred Education:Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited program Licensing/ Certification Licensure/Certification Required:N/A Licensure/Certification Preferred:Certifications and/or registrations in functional area. Diversity Equity and Inclusion certification preferred Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: Minimum five (5) years of broad HR generalist experience to include expertise in at least three of the following: Talent management, recruiting, employee relations, performance management, training, eLearning, HR information systems, benefits, compensation.
