POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Education Manager is responsible for assisting with planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education programs across the hospital system. This role will support the market-based education leaders and the AHS nursing operations team to ensure that clinical staff are compliant with regulatory education requirements, and other training as needed. The Clinical Education Manager collaborates with clinical leaders, market educators, and Human Resources to create, enhance, and drive education and training.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain awareness of current nursing education requirements and proactively assist the team in addressing them.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to create and evaluate training materials that align with accrediting standards, organizational policies, enterprise goals, and adult learning principles.
  • Use data-driven insights, usage analytics, and performance metrics to guide purchase planning, assess content effectiveness, and continuously improve program relevance.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of learning activities and generate reports to support regulatory and organizational compliance.
  • Coordinate and evaluate orientation and residency programs for new clinical staff, including oversight of system-wide nurse residency performance metrics.
  • Lead the implementation and administration of the Clinical Educator/Lead Rotational Assignment, including selection, onboarding/offboarding, and effectiveness monitoring.
  • Standardize nursing practice processes by supporting NDNQI data consistency, participating in Magnet/Pathway to Excellence initiatives, and engaging with the HealthStream Clinical Advisory Committee.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership committees and project teams to align training efforts with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the HR LMS Administrator to deliver a seamless learner experience, assign content, and maintain accurate learning records as a designated system administrator.
  • Consolidate local training efforts to ensure consistent content quality, accessibility, and alignment across the organization.
  • Partner with national vendors to provide Continuing Education Credits (CNE), monitor usage, and ensure contracts deliver measurable value.
  • Actively participate in the HealthStream User Group (HUG) to exchange insights and promote best practices across facilities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree within relevant field
  • 5+ years of clinical and/or adult education.
  • Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time
  • Experience working with data sets (HRIS), data mapping, and report building.
  • Experience analyzing data and developing executive summaries of findings.
  • HealthStream administration experience. preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare. preferred.

  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively across all teams and levels within the organization.
  • Effective self-management and project management ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS) technology, HealthStream preferred.
