Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Test Engineer to join them. You will report to the Program Manager/Chief FAA Inspector and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia.

As a Test Engineer, you will:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated test equipment (ATE)

  • Maintain test equipment for multiple product lines from basic equipment to completely in house created stations

  • Be able to train technicians on testing process and equipment maintenance for day to day use

  • Be able to train technicians on ESS equipment and help with initial ESS testing of new product and processes

  • Monitor ATE performance; support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) of test anomalies

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate test methods and verify accuracy of test instructions

  • Collaborate with development team members on system integrations

  • Perform test equipment gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GRR)

  • Support production personnel to resolve technical issues during manufacturing and test

  • Support Production floor with knowledge of and correct use of router's, drawings, standard procedures and other production related process's

  • Be able to coordinate with PC to resolve inventory issues for system paperwork as well as hardware

To be considered for Test Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering degree. Or associates degree in a related technical field with 3 years experience in an electronics environment.

  • Experience with Board level troubleshooting

    • Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

    • Troubleshoot and isolate hardware failures

    • Troubleshoot and repair aged test equipment with minimal documentation.

  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc)

  • Experience with environmental stress system chambers or vibration systems

Salary Range Transparency:

Blacksburg, VA $60,000.00-$80,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
