About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Adolescent Medicine Educator to support the education and training of medical residents during their adolescent medicine rotations. This role is instrumental in delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and inclusive education that prepares residents to meet the complex needs of adolescent patients. This role offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of physicians by fostering a strong foundation in adolescent healthcare, with an emphasis on inclusion, empathy, and excellence. This is a 0.10FTE position.

100 % Responsibilities
* Educational Facilitation: Conduct engaging seminars for residents covering a broad range of key topics in adolescent health, including physical, emotional, and social development.

* Simulation Leadership: Lead a simulated reproductive health experience designed to teach identity-affirming and trauma-informed pelvic examination techniques.

* Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty to contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the adolescent medicine rotation curriculum, ensuring alignment with best practices and evolving healthcare standards.

* Resident Assessment: Evaluate resident performance through structured assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth.

* Clinical Coordination: Partner with clinical sites to identify and expand clinical opportunities for residents, enhancing the diversity and depth of their hands-on training experiences.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
* Medical degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible medical license.

* Board certification or eligibility in Adolescent Medicine.

* Clinical experience in adolescent health, including trauma-informed and identity-affirming care.

* Teaching experience with medical students or residents.

* Ability to lead clinical simulations (e.g., reproductive health exams).

* Experience with curriculum development and learner assessment.

* Commitment to inclusive education.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $20,000 - $25,000/annually for 0.10FTE, depending on education/qualifications/experience.
