JOB DESCRIPTION: The clinical lead is directly responsible for management of both clinicians within their discipline and support staff, in collaboration with the therapy site leader. The clinical lead may serve as a clinical resource for all staff in the area of his or her clinical expertise. The clinical lead provides leadership, support, and assistance in daily site management and operational tasks, quality improvement, program development, professional development, and research, as determined by the needs of the site, discipline, and department. Provides occupational therapy to patients in the acute rehab setting with a focus on interventions for neurologically impaired individuals. Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory, and other aspects of performance in a variety of contexts to support engagement in everyday life activities that affect health, well-being, and quality of life. The occupational therapist functions as an essential member of therapy and multidisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients. Educates and prepares patients/families and caregivers for continued care after discharge. The occupational therapist may be involved in consultative services within the organization and in the community. The occupational therapist demonstrates dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of patient care. EDUCATION:
EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience as a staff therapist. |
