The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders is seeking a full-time SLP for our adult, inpatient team.
We are seeking candidates with a strong interest and comfort in a reflective medical SLP practice and a desire to grow professionally. We emphasize holistic patient care, teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient advocacy. We are looking for a speech pathologist who demonstrates curiosity, develops partnerships with patients and families, and displays flexibility. The successful candidate will work on a team with 16+ inpatient SLP's and will provide swallowing, speech-language, and communication interventions to hospitalized adults with complex medical, neurologic, oncologic, and surgical disorders in the acute care setting. About Us: Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is a 1000+ bed, academic medical institution associated with Harvard Medical School. MGH is a Level 1 trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Quality Center, known as a leader in caring for patients with neurologic and neurosurgical disorders, complex medical conditions, head & neck and brain cancer, movement disorders, and cardiovascular/thoracic surgeries. Education Master's degree in Speech-language pathology/Communication disorders MA State license, or eligibility for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology [CCC-SLP] - American Speech Language Hearing Association BLS Certification Experience - Availability to work 4 x 10-hour days with weekend rotations. - Maintain variable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs to provide patient care.
