The Opportunity:

UCF's Student Success and Well-Being (SSWB) HR Business Center is currently seeking a talented Human Resources Coordinator ll to join their team! This position provides direct HR support for managers and employees in delivering HR services using a working knowledge of all applicable policies and procedures and leveraging Workday to complete transactions. Additionally, the HR Coordinator II fields questions on HR practices and strategies and/or escalates to HR Partner or HR Director. The position also provides broad Workday expertise and process support. HR Coordinators may support all employee types, or have a more dedicated focus for supporting staff, faculty, students, temporaries, grad assistants or postdocs.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide first point of HR customer service for creating and managing positions, recruiting, and hiring, managing and tracking employment changes, processing pay changes, coordinating timekeeping, and managing appointments.

  • Process HR transactions in Workday by reviewing and approving manager-initiated processes or initiating processes on behalf of the manager.

  • Initiate and approve employee job changes in Workday (hires, transfers, promotions, renewals, compensation changes, one-time payments, etc.)

  • Maintain working knowledge of all applicable policies and procedures and ensure process compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and policies.

  • Support managers and employees with timekeeping processes and time audits.

  • Conduct annual performance management tracking.

  • Oversee local onboarding and offboarding.

  • Maintain data integrity by reviewing processes for accuracy.

  • Connect employees with appropriate departments for other services as needed.

  • Escalate complex HR issues to HR Partner or HR Director.

  • Assist in coordinating annual and occasional compliance training.

  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with HR Partners and Directors to provide HR related trainings to employees and managers within the college or division.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • At least one year of experience in human resources, administrative support, or coordinator roles, preferably in a university, public institution, or similar setting.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Workday, PeopleSoft, or other similar HRIS systems to initiate, manage, and track HR transactions and employee records.

  • Proficiency in administrative procedures and office operations, including scheduling, records management, and coordination of multi-step workflows.

  • Ability to leverage technology and computer systems to navigate HR platforms, input and manage data accurately, generate standard reports, and support digital workflows.

  • Prior experience in a customer service-oriented role with the ability to interact professionally and provide courteous responses to inquiries from students, colleagues, and campus partners.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess situations, evaluate alternatives, and apply logic to develop thoughtful, effective solutions.

  • The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is $20.29 - $23.28. The final rate will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

  • Hybrid work arrangements may be considered following an initial training period, in alignment with university policy, division guidelines, and supervisor approval.
