Scope:

Production Operator- To establish parameters for cutting flex acrylic and adhesive material, and to ensure proper tacking and pressing of coverlay material to cores, boards and panels. The operator is also familiar with all of the operations necessary in producing quality product in an efficient manner. Operator is available as needed to operate throughout the lamination department including but not limited to layup, rout, press and breakdown according to production needs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, neat and orderly workplace
  • Ability to operate computer, label makers, printers, Graphtec cutting equipment
  • Follows proper handling/department procedures for hot irons/waffle presses per JSA
  • Monitors and produces quality product. This is done by following all processing instruction
  • Selects and sorts core layers, gathers other production materials, performs cutting/tacking/waffling operation on product by following all instructions
  • Ability to identify product materials: rigid vs flex
  • Operates Lamination presses, breaks down pressed panels, inspect pressed panels.
  • Follows all work instructions to accurately tack and press coverlay materials to core layers.
  • Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately including travelers, daily preventative maintenance logs
  • Read and interpret shop traveler to verify count and quality of previous process steps is met
  • Read and interpret stack-up/construction and documented instructions or notes for special requirements
  • Communicate/coordinate with zone management team on inventory
  • Enter jobs and quality information in the Manufacturing Control System
  • Immediately communicate to your Supervisor, Manager or Process Engineer any discrepancies found in materials, product, or equipment
  • Facilitates and attends meeting, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, suggests and composes procedural changes, communicates to supervisor about safety hazards and issues.
  • Generates, accumulates, and handles hazardous wastes generated in daily operations, as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.
  • Responsibilities include the reporting of all accidents, near misses and safety concerns. Perform their job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management and cross-trains as needed to assist with production needs

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
