Lead Maintenance Technician

Join a respected Fortune 500 company in Arlington, VA, as the Lead Maintenance Technician working directly with the Client Facility Manager to provide exceptional facility maintenance. This role focuses on delivering quality workmanship, maintaining high standards, and upholding professionalism throughout office and common areas.

Pay: $28-$38 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on walls, floors, doors, ceilings, furniture, and facility systems.
• Supervise janitorial staff and manage vendors, schedules, and minor client projects.
• Conduct safety rounds and inspections; document and report findings.
• Manage administrative tasks including materials ordering, budget tracking, work orders, and vendor coordination.
• Support electricians and plumbers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist with conference room setups, furniture moves, and repairs.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and team members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; business/trade training preferred.
• 4+ years in facilities maintenance with skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient in safety compliance, maintenance tools, and software (CMMS, BMS).
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts a plus.
• Flexible to work occasional weekends, on-call, and overtime as needed.
