Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The mission of the School of Social Work is to advance equity, transform systems, improve lives. The School's curriculum supports the mission and recognizes the uniqueness of the region served, including concerns for disadvantaged, vulnerable, and oppressed individuals, families and communities. Classes provide rigorous and evidence-based content, and give students the opportunity to explore theory, learn intervention skills and engage in challenging dialogue with colleagues. |
Position Summary |
This position is a 100% remote work arrangement, consistent with System Office policy. If business needs change, an individual employee's designation may be adjusted with a required minimum of ten (10) business days' notice unless employee conduct or safety issues necessitate otherwise at the discretion of management.
The Senior Implementation Specialist serves as a project leader on funded research project(s) at Collaborative for Implementation Practice at the School of Social Work at
UNC-Chapel Hill. The Senior Implementation Specialist delivers a range of implementation supports to support effective implementation and scaling of evidence-based programs and innovations, engages in implementation research, and provides leadership on specific areas or priorities for funded project(s).
The Senior Implementation Specialist leads teams in the completion of complex, multi-faceted tasks and serves is a quality assurance role for all work products within the Collaborative for Implementation Practice.
The Senior Implementation Specialist supports the research agenda for the Collaborative for Implementation Practice and contributes to scientific writing and peer reviewed scholarship. The Senior Implementation Specialist contributes to the translation of scientific evidence into practice in service settings. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
* Experience in implementation science, including leading and co-leading implementation science projects, conducting implementation research, and contributing to scholarly impact in implementation science
* Demonstrated experience in public speaking, preparing presentations for research and practice audiences, and written communication |

* Knowledge of competencies for providing implementation support
* Experience supporting skill development for an implementation practice workforce |
