Overview

The Arrow Director administratively oversees Arrow Ambulance LLC, Carle Regional EMS System and is the contract liaison with Air Methods Corp for AirLife 1 Air Medical Transport Team. Continues to contribute to the growth and success of Carle Emergency Medical Services Division. Through marketing, staff selection and program development, ensures that quality patient care is provided and profitability is maximized. Plans, organizes, leads, and controls in managing performance of the EMS division. Serves as a spokesperson in the community for Arrow Ambulance. Supports goals and objectives that reflect the Carle Foundation. Sets the tone for Arrow Ambulance and Carle EMS that promotes staff growth and professionalism while performing work.
Qualifications

Certifications:

  • ICS-700: National Incident Management System (NIMS) within 6 months and
  • Licensed Paramedic - Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Related Field - 3 years of hire

Work Experience:

  • Leadership pre-hospital EMS - 5 years

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of EMS systems, budgeting, human resources, collections and insurance billing
  • Working relationships with area fire and rescue services

Responsibilities

  • Develops expansion of new service areas.
  • Develops, analyzes, and manages capital and operating budget within agreed upon standards
  • Develops, reviews, and revises department policies and procedures.
  • Direct various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisal, promotions, transfers and disciplinary issues.
  • Ensures quality customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Manages operations of department
  • Ensures standards of quality and service are provided in accordance with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Oversees compliance with all City, State and Federal laws.
  • Attends updates provided by HFA Illinois Public Aid and third-party insurance carriers.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and management to assigned department(s).
  • Sets departmental strategic direction and develops appropriate tactical plans
  • Meet current and future strategic objectives
  • Responsible for producing meaningful management reports as it relates to production statistics, key performance indicators, audit results, regulatory reports, etc.
  • Oversees the billing and collection for all divisions.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal law in billing practices.
  • Ensures the Arrow and EMS Leadership consistently uphold Carle Values and professionalism.
  • Ensures Arrow is a good steward of Carle resources and is fiscally responsible.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $51.66per hour - $88.86per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
